本論文は、16-18世紀のヨーロッパ地図におけるChincheoという地名の地理的な位置の変動に着目して、当時の泉州と漳州がヨーロッパ人によってどのように認識され、国際貿易・世界海洋輸送においていかなる位置を占めたのかを考察したものである。
