はじめに、中黒瀬村の概要、農村の女子中等教育機関としての土肥実科高等女学校の位置、土肥実科高等女学校の中黒瀬村への移転、土肥実科高等女学校の特色―「農村本意ノ教育」の方針と内容―、村当局の土肥実科高等女学校評価、村民の学校利用、土肥実科高等女学校の高等女学校昇格と中黒瀬村からの撤退、村民のみる学校移転問題―「地方農村に適当であった実科高等女学校の特色」の喪失―、おわりに。
